Some of my friends have remarked more than once that I am a little bit of a rabid fan when it comes to Frank Scalise/Zafiro’s books. And they wouldn’t be wrong. I freakin’ love his River City books. I am so in awe of how well he’s crafted my favorite character Katie McCleod. Once I lend those same friends my books, they understand why I’m so enthusiastic about Frank’s prose. Today, someone at work told me about something that had happened to them, and ended with the words “You should write about that.” I also have non-writer friends who suggests titles and character names and plot points.
