In May, I submitted a story to the first ever 1001 Dark Night Short Story Challenge for published authors. I’ve been sitting on the news that I’m one of the winners for almost a week and I am so happy that I can finally share this great news. The name of my story is A Wolf’s Desire and it is the prequel to a new series launching next year about Norse Billionaire Shifters. It is a huge honor to be among the list of the amazing authors who also won. All of our stories will be included in an anthology …

I’ve been traveling for a month and am still catching up on emails and other administrative tasks, but I thought I’d pop in to let you know that I have some awesome news. While I was at the Romance Writers of America (RWA) national conference last month, I received the Booksellers’ Best Award for Viking Warrior Rebel! Thank you to the Greater Detroit RWA chapter for running an awesome contest and putting on a fantastic reception at the conference. Also thank you to the volunteers and the judges of the contest. I celebrated with a glass of cider at the …

Today is the big day! My debut book is released and about to make its way into the hands of readers.! Before VIKING WARRIOR RISING grew up and became a proper book, it was a want-to-be published manuscript named Valhalla’s King. Although, I’m blessed with a great support network of people who do the Muppet flail with me for each first experience. And if they’re just faking it after the sixth or seventh celebration, that’s fine too. 🙂 As we get closer to the …

Conference Shenanigans in New York City
The Romance Writers of America‘s annual national conference just ended. It has been four days of non-stop fun. I can’t decide what I enjoyed more: the workshops, the fangirl moments, the visits with new and old friends, the RITA Golden Heart ceremony, or the amazing shoes people wore. 🙂 It’s hard to put into words how much you learn and how much fun you have at the event. You really have to go to get the whole experience. Imagine a whole conference room filled with women–and a few men–who love what they do, are incredibly passionate about their work–and books …
