I had a great time with the Florida Romance Writers, even if the trip started a little tense because my suitcase didn’t make it until right before the cruise ship was about to leave. It was hard to return to the Pacific Northwest winter after some glorious days in the sun of the Caribbean. Asa Maria Bradley grew up in Sweden surrounded by archaeology and history steeped in Norse mythology, which inspired the immortal Vikings and Valkyries in her paranormal romances. She also writes romantic suspense and currently resides on a lake deep in the pine forests of the Pacific Northwest with a British husband and a rescue dog of indeterminate breed. I love the covers of Amy Patrick’s New Adult 20 Something series, but her new YA Fantasy cover has me drooling. Plus, the book sounds amazing. It’s the first in a trilogy, which I usually prefer to not start reading until all three books are out. I get impatient when I have to wait to spend time with characters I just fell in love with. My conference schedule for 2015 is almost full already! As much as I love hiding out in my office with only my characters and story plot for company, I also need to get with my peeps a few times a year for conferences and other literary events.
