Let’s just get down to what we all want to know, even though we always say it’s not what is most important whenever someone starts a new fitness regime. I have lost 11.02 lbs. And YES, I do count those 0.02 suckers on the end there. Because when I tell you that of those hard-earned pounds, I lost 6.02 during week 1, you can understand how much I have struggled and how much my motivation waned.

Like most women, I’ve been on one diet or another pretty much all my life since puberty. This has taught me that the first week would show much greater results than the days following. I also knew that I’m always super excited about a new project in the beginning, like the first week or two, and then…not so much. Even knowing all that, and preparing for it, I still slid off course after week 2.

Me week 1: This is so great! I feel amazing! And it’s so easy, I’m going to measure all my food and follow this no-sugar eating plan for the rest of my life!

Me week 2: It’s such a hassle to get out the measuring cups each time I want food. Yeah, that looks like about half a cup.

Me week 3: Is ice cream really that bad? I mean, this one only has 130 calories per serving.

Me week 4: Half a cup of ice cream or a full cup of ice-cream, is there really that much difference?

I’m still very happy with the results though. The weight loss is more than I had anticipated after the first month, but I’m even more excited about my Non-Scale Wins (NSW):

BMI Decrease: -1.95
% Fat Decrease: -0.6%
Resting BPM Decrease: -9
Total Inches Lost: -4.5

Stay tuned to see how I do my second month. And if you want to read how it all started, here’s the first post in the Fitness Planner series: Fitness Planner: Week 1.
