I love the covers of Amy Patrick’s New Adult 20 Something series, but her new YA Fantasy cover has me drooling. Plus, the book sounds amazing. It’s the first in a trilogy, which I usually prefer to not start reading until all three books are out. I get impatient when I have to wait to spend time with characters I just fell in love with. My conference schedule for 2015 is almost full already! As much as I love hiding out in my office with only my characters and story plot for company, I also need to get with my peeps a few times a year for conferences and other literary events. That’s when we writer types (and reader types) mingle with like-minded people and gossip about made up characters that seem as real to us as our family members or day job coworkers. I’m a college instructor. I speak in front of large groups every day. I’m comfortable in front of my students. I often get super excited about what I teach.
