Pitching Again–Would You Buy this Book?

by Asa Maria Bradley

I’m at another conference this weekend. My second visit to the Emerald City Writers Conference (ECWC) is turning out to be even more fun than when I first visited it two years ago. Tomorrow I’m pitching to two editors and two agents and tonight I’ve fine tuned my pitch until the wee hours of the morning. Here’s my final version. Would you read this book?

Twenty-six year old freelance forensic artist Molly Nyland doesn’t want anybody to know that the reason she draws such great composite sketches is because she can tell when what people say doesn’t match what they actually think. Growing up in a rural religious community, twelve-year-old Molly was labeled a witch when she survived the freak lightning strike which gave her these powers and covered her left shoulder and arm in white spider-web scars.

Working with hot, hard-assed, and cynical detective Desmond Rankin is challenging enough without him knowing about her abilities, which he would call “new-age metaphysical crap.”  But keeping her secret is becoming increasingly harder as the owners of a new vampire jazz club and the leaders of an ancient society are showing suspicious interest in Molly and her powers.
In addition to these benefits, Testover C (Testosterone Cypionate) prevents muscle loss. Before anyone starts taking this drug, this person should study contraindications. buy cialis pdxcommercial.com Along these lines, the lady accomplice of the cheap cialis from canada man remains physically disappointed. pdxcommercial.com levitra 10 mg An erection occurs when the penile muscles are relaxed and can get proper nutrients and operate more efficiently. When a murder case hits close to home, Molly struggles to work with Des to solve the case without giving away her secret. But when she ends up on the list of suspects, she has to learn to use her abilities in new ways, stretching their limits, not only to clear her name but to actually stay alive.

Wish me good luck for tomorrow!

Thanks Guys! It went fantastic. I came home with three requests for partials from agents and great encouragement from two editors.
