The Janes are discussing rejections all this month and today it’s my turn. The Janes picked research as our theme for the month of May and today it’s my turn on the blog. Hope on over to See Jane Publish and read about my visit to the amazing Viking Museum in Roskilde, Denmark during last summer. The museum houses five original Viking ships from the 11th century. These ships were used in a blockade in a sea channel close to Skuldelev, which is 20 km north of Roskilde (the capital of Denmark during the Viking age). Wow! Time flies when you’re having fun and sometimes you neglect your own blog because you’re too busy playing on other websites and at conferences. I just returned home from an amazing few days at the American Writers & Writers Program (AWP) conference in Seattle. I graduated from Eastern Washington University with an MFA in creative writing (non fiction) back in 2010. For the first time, the university sponsored a reception for current students and alumni during the conference.
