Female Nomad and Friends Collection.

I'm currently seeking representation and publishers for my fiction, but my nonfiction work has appeared in Wire Harp, eWag, Auntie's Notes, Inland NW Homes & Living, Women in Higher Education, Bylines Writers' Calendar, and I'm a weekly contributor to the literary blog Bark.

Sample Articles, Essays, and Blogs

• A list of my blog entries for Bark.

"Tips on How to Handle 'High Maintenance' Students" published in Women in Higher Education May 2010.
(Used with permission of Women in Higher Education, 2010)

"Chad Little takes Stock", published in Inland NW Homes & Lifestyles in February 2008.

"The Fine Art of Fighting Crime" published in Inland NW Homes & Lifestyles in April 2008.

• My book review of Saving Fish From Drowning published in Auntie Notes in November 2006.

"Climbing Mandalay Hill" published in The Wire Harp Creative Arts Magazine in 2006

I am very proud and honored to be included in Rita Golden Gelman's collection Female Nomad and Friends: Tales of Breaking Free and Breaking Bread Around the World (Three River Press 2010). All the authors of this book are donating their royalties to send kids who grew up in the slums of India to vocational schools. Read the intro to the book, which includes a fabulous recipe for Curried Carrot Soup, on Random House's website.
